The evolution of Thanksgiving in Dubuque
About 400 years ago, a collection of English Pilgrims and Wampanoag Native Americans gathered together for a three-day feast.

They didn’t know at the time that they were perhaps holding the most famous dinner party in North American history.

Four centuries later, and Americans every late November still come together to celebrate Thanksgiving, replete with cranberries, stuffing, sweet potato pie, football and, of course, turkey.
